I only have a few minutes.  Erin and I are at the AIM office.  We just went grocery shopping for the third time this week, and we’ve only been here for two days.  Shopping for 18 people has been a little overwhelming!

The team is adjusting very well.  We spent the entire day on Saturday learning about Manzini.  We went on a scavenger hunt which took us thoughout the streets and shops of Manzini.  Some of the girls loved it; some of them hated it.  Being in a new country with unfamiliar surroundings can be intimidating; but overall, they did very well.  We came back, ate grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup, de-briefed our day, and then we worshipped.

We went to church this morning.  Dabas Church.  We were welcomed with open arms and we all very much enjoyed the three hours that we were there.  Lots of speaking — both English and siSwati.  Lots and lots of singing!!!  Lots of harmony!  It seems that the Swazi people are born with the ability to harmonize.  I LOVED IT!  We couldn’t figure out who the pastor was.  One person would get up and speak.  Then someone would stand up and lead a song.  Then a different person would get up and speak.  Then another song…and so forth.  What community!  What a house church!  I cried the entire time I was there.  It was very emotional for all of us.  We met many people and have been invited to their homes before we leave.

Our house is a mansion!  It has all the necessities one would need.  We’re a little disappointed though.  Tomorrow we start ministry.  We will meet with the hosts this afternoon and get ready for what tomorrow holds.

Thank you for your prayers.  We are eager to meet the orphans and love them.  Erin just found out that she is going to school tomorrow with a fulltime missionary to help her teach 2nd grade.  She is jumping up and down.

Gotta run.  Dinner awaits.

Love to you all!!!!
