We were asked to write a blog about how we were called to this particular mission trip. Well, here is my story....

In the summer of 2005, I went on my very first missions trip to Philadelphia with my church youth group. It was on this trip, that I re-dedicated my life to Christ, and truly knew that my heart belonged to Him. Returning home, I knew that I wanted to do more to spread His word and love.
However, it was only until recently that I really felt the call. It was as if a bunch of little characteristics in my life, were all coming together to send me to Swaziland. For example, my heart for children, the delight I find in His mighty power, and really just a compassion that I feel towards those who are in need.

When my Dad showed me the Swazi page for AIM, my heart broke in reading the statistics of the country. I knew that I was being called to Swaziland. Upon being accepted I felt such a peace about this trip, and knew that it was God's plan for my summer. Every time I think about this trip I can't help but feel a little nervous and more than anything excited.

And so, for this trip, I'm letting go and letting God, because He has called me.
