I have always been intrigued and drawn to people-especially those from other cultures. I love to learn about God's heart for the nations and I desire to mirror that love. There is not an exact time and place that I remember sensing an emotional call, however, I believe that God wired me specifically for missions.  For this trip, I was struggling initially with the call. I stumbled upon this mission on the web and I immediately felt that this was something that I was supposed to be a part of. I had had other plans for the summer including classes and trips etc., so I was a little confused about which plan to follow. I also had reservations because of my age and honestly I was a little afraid of what might happen if I did go on the trip. One day, before my quiet time, I prayed that the Lord would give me direction on  this.  That day i started in Jeremiah and the verses i read said -"But the LORD said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a child.' You must
go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD."

It seemed pretty clear to me that this was what the Lord had planned for me. I am so excited to see what He has in store for me and the rest of the team.
