hey guys!! my name is meghann greene and i am 20 years old, from topeka, kansas. don’t expect me to look as good as i do in the picture above when you meet me…haha, it doesn’t happen often. 😉 normally i have a frizz ball head. anyways–i am a sophomore at washburn university here in my hometown and i’m majoring in nursing. i recently got accepted into nursing school so i will start this fall and hopefully within two years, i will be a labor and delivery nurse or working in the NICU. (i.e. anywhere i can work with caring for newborns!) there’s not much here on earth that i love more than children..which is what drew me towards this specific trip. going to africa and working with people have been a dream of mine for years–so i am warning you now for the excessive excitement i will have on this trip. although, i’m sure you guys wont mind. 🙂

i haven’t been a christian for a good portion of my life–and it wasn’t until a few years ago that i TRULY accepted Christ. i did a lot of experimenting in high school with “social activities”, boys, etc. i filled my life with as many distractions as i possibly could. college is the time in my life when i really started getting on track and finding out who i really was (and i’m still working on a lot of it). although my walk with Christ has been quite a journey with a LOT of up’s and downs, i wouldn’t trade it for anything. i have learned SO many lessons along the way and every event has helped make me who i am today.

A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he leads justice to victory.                  Matthew 12:20
^that would be one of my favorite verses. he didn’t “snuff” me out when i was at my weakest, doing everything i could to avoid Him…i still had a chance for a turn around and thankfully, i eventually took that chance.
hmm. more about me? i have been told i am always smiling. i love going on walks, going to parks and swinging. photography is one of my passions and i hope to have my own studio someday. i work at an icecream shop and could eat icecream everyday (especially if it includes chocolate or cookie dough). i can be shy–but it usually doesn’t last. i live on carbs. i have a fish named earl. i am big on crafts and coloring. i have been out of the country 4 times. i don’t know what i would do without my mom. i think WAY to much about everything and am THE most indecisive person you will ever meet. my dream in life is to have kids.

i could go on forever, but i will stop there for now so i have more info to tell you guys once we are off to africa! i am SO SO SO excited to go on this trip and work with you guys to share Christ with these people of swaziland! i cannot wait to meet you guys!
