Meet the Wallaces
Hello Swazi Team! We are so excited about this mission and even more excited about getting to know you all. We know that the Lord has big plans for this group, and we can’t wait to see what He has in store for us. Let me introduce our family. My name is Tonya. I am a stay-at-home mom who helps run the family photography business. My husband Doyle is a photographer. We shoot mainly portraits and weddings — something that Doyle swore he would never do when he was in art school. We live out in the country in a little town called Good Hope (it has one caution light and a general store), but we’re about 20 minutes from the University of Georgia. Doyle and I both grew up in Harlan, Kentucky; we were high school sweethearts. Doyle graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta, and I went to court reporting school and worked in several law firms before having our children. Doyle also teaches a high school photography class, and I teach a 1st-2nd grade science class at a homeschool academy. We resigned as senior pastors from our church a year ago, and we now host a church gathering in our home each week. Doyle and I have been married for 22 years, and we have four children: Caleb-15, Josh-13, Erin-10, and Sarah-8. This has been quite the adventure already because God has called all 6 of us to go to Swaziland this summer. When God confirmed to Doyle and I that we were to go to Swaziland, one by one our children came to us and said that the Lord was asking them to go with us. It sounds crazy, but we have just watched God bring all of the details together. He has ordained this trip, and we are in awe of how He will use each one of us. Please feel free to email or find us on Facebook. We can’t wait to meet each of you face to face in May. It won’t be long!
Blessings!
